Beautiful, strange and reflective on record, Blind Yeo are a completely different beast live — a wildly energetic, hypnotic collective built around improvisation, movement and communal chaos. Formed in Cornwall, UK, Blind Yeo bring together a loose collective of musicians whose sound moves between psychedelic folk, krautrock, experimental rock and improvised music. Their songs stretch and shift in the live setting, moving from hypnotic repetition and delicate, reflective passages into sprawling rhythmic grooves, noise and joyful release.

The band grew out of a shared love of improvisation and playing together without knowing exactly where a piece of music might end up. That sense of unpredictability remains at the heart of Blind Yeo. Songs are structures rather than fixed arrangements, leaving space for the musicians to react to one another and for each performance to become something different.

Their debut album The Lemoine Point, released through Geneva-based Bongo Joe Records, captures the more reflective side of the group: a record shaped by landscape, friendship, repetition and the strange atmosphere of the Cornish coast. Across the album, acoustic instruments, synths, guitars, percussion and layered voices drift between pastoral calm and psychedelic experimentation.

Live, those same songs are pushed much further. The collective expands and contracts depending on the show, with repetition and improvisation allowing tracks to unravel, rebuild and occasionally descend into controlled chaos. It can be intimate and meditative one minute and euphoric, rhythmic and completely unhinged the next.
